Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you want to know about one-item-one-code, GS1 standards and traceability implementation.

What is "one item one code"? How is it different from a regular QR code?

One item one code assigns a globally unique code to every single saleable unit, instead of sharing one code per SKU. A regular QR only tells "what product this is"; a unit-level code also tells "which one it is", enabling authentication, flow tracking, channel-conflict control and precision marketing.

Does implementation require production-line retrofit? How long does it take?

It depends on your lines. Lines with existing inkjet/labeling equipment usually only need vision capture and data integration — live in 1-2 weeks. New lines take 4-8 weeks from design to acceptance. We offer a free line assessment first.

What is GS1 Digital Link and do I need it?

GS1 Digital Link is the next-generation GS1 barcode standard that encodes identifiers like GTIN into a URL, so one QR works for consumer phones, warehouse scanners and regulators alike. The GS1 Sunrise 2027 initiative is driving the migration from EAN-13 to 2D codes — exporters should prepare early.

What if counterfeiters mass-copy my codes?

O1M uses four mechanisms: encrypted codes that cannot be forged; first-scan timestamps that expose reused codes; automatic alerts for abnormal scan frequency or geography; and optional physical anti-fake printing. A copied code is flagged as risky on its second query.

Can the platform integrate with our ERP / WMS?

Yes. RESTful OpenAPI and webhooks are available, with proven integrations to mainstream ERP (SAP, Kingdee, Yonyou), MES and WMS. Code issuance, inventory association and diversion alerts can all be automated.

Where is my data stored? Is it secure?

Data lives in a cloud database with TLS in transit and row-level security (RLS) for access control. Encrypted backups and on-demand export are supported. The service is GDPR-aligned — see our Privacy Policy.

How is pricing structured?

Pricing consists of an annual platform fee, usage-based code volume fees, and optional one-time line hardware. Plans for SMB brands start at an accessible annual level — contact us for a quote.

Do you support multi-language and multi-region deployment?

Yes. Consumer verification pages support Chinese, English and more; the platform offers multi-region acceleration, and scan data can be stored regionally to meet compliance needs of global brands.
